Summary: Dean makes a kill that happens to have a barcode on its neck. Lydecker is not happy about it.

Logan Cale and his wealthy parents run into a monster who attacks them. Dean arrives too late to save the young parents, leaving Logan Cale an orphan.
Dean promises the boy that he'll avenge his family. He chances the monster/demon and kills it.
Manticore soldiers arrive and capture him, testing, torturing, and threatening him in order to discover exactly HOW a normal human could kill one of their 'super genetically engineered killing machines'.
Lydecker eventually discovers that Dean has a family of his own; ones that may be just as, if not better than Dean. For fear of exposing Manticore, he lets Dean go. (Sam is at Stanford during this period of time.)
Years later, the "Pulse" which destroys all of the electronics in America occurs, making it easier for Sam and Dean to continue their fight to save people by hunting things.
Dean is still tortured by the memories of his treatment and discovers that the boy he saved is now a journalist. He sends him a message--one that exposes Manticore.
Two weeks later, Dean is fatally injured on a hunt...leaving Sam behind to continue the good fight.
What Sam doesn't know is that his brother was cloned. (AKA Ben and Alec) This is what the end signifies, with Alec/Ben standing on the tower.

I love it! So cool (and hee, it totally cracks me up that Joshua's (Josh's clone, whatever) is the evil transgenic. I love how well the story line holds together. It's just awesome all around. Well done!

Cec: Awesome, seamless blending of all the different fandoms! The scene manipulation and storytelling is fantastic! Love the black flashes and all the editing of the scenes of him right before and during the torture scene. The way you used the mirror and stuff was a great device for the flashback! Perfect song choice too! Extremely well done! Kaycee: That was such an awesome AU video! I was stunned at how much the scenes looked like they belonged together. You have a very imaginative mind and it comes through in your work! Great idea for putting the images on the computer screen. The song and the clips had such an intense mood to them...I loved this video!

oh I just mean that I didn't connect that Logan was exposing transgenics because of the report Dean sent, and also of course that it is intended to be Ben at the end. but that is nothing to fix! Seriously, it was really good. Just saying thanks for the description, I guess, so I could get the most out of it :)

Not bad. I read the fiction to go with it, and while there were a few things different, i thought it fitted with the first story really well. It doesn't match the other ones in the series so much I don't think but nice!

i've read the story and seen your video you did a fabulous job getting the story intro across, its amazing how effective and well done it was, and how terrible sad, devastating, even, to see it. good work, and yes, i'd love to see you do a sequel of the rest of the story, or even the first chapter of it. i think that the exposure on youtube pulls so many more people into the fan-writing fandom. some of the youtube videos by fanfic supporters have had tens of thousands of views, and the fanfiction itself only seems to get a few dozen or a few hundred at the most. the more videos out there showing off the incredible skills of the fanwriters (and vid makers too) expands the audience for both, AND for the original show itself. good work! keep it up!

Clever use of cross fandom footage really works well in this imaginative AU story. The music you chose adds to the suspense in your vid and it was very entertaining. Good work Andrea Wonderful meshing of multiple fandoms – the matching of clips is wonderfully done, Dean comforting the kid, Lydekker talking to Sam on the phone – great work! Shona
